Drug dealer dad tried to blame son for his crimes

A DRUG dealer dad who blamed his crimes on his son has been locked up for 22 years for his role in flooding Worcestershire with cocaine.

Rubery drug dealer Michael Morris was found guilty in October 2023 of conspiring to supply cocaine from the West Midlands into Kidderminster, Wychbold and beyond to Devon.

The 58-year-old represented himself at trial after manipulating the court system into multiple delays to evade prosecution.

He also parted company with several barristers. In further efforts to evade prosecution for his involvement, he attempted to hide behind a defence that his son was responsible. He provided no evidence of this - and a jury found him guilty.

They agreed with the prosecution's evidence that it was Morris who was making drug supply arrangements.
