Comedian's 'cultural snapshot' sketch goes under hammer

A SKETCH of boxer Muhammad Ali drawn by the comedian Eric Morecambe nearly 50 years ago is being sold at a Midland auction.

The sale run by Hansons Auctioneers is set to take place in a three-day auction starting July 17 and is expected to fetch between £1,000 to £2,000.
The portrait, painted by the comedy legend, Morecambe in 1978, captures Muhammad Ali and is described as "full of personality" and features "bold strokes".
