16 arrests and £100,000 seized as police target drug networks

WEST Midlands Police have made scores of arrests and seized £100,000 in cash after raids in three areas of Birmingham.

Officers from the Op Skybridge team have been deployed to Soho, Lozells, and East Handsworth to carry out proactive enforcement.
The team made 16 arrests for a total of 40 offences since the beginning of April. These included possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply, possession of Class B drugs with intent to supply, cultivation of cannabis, going equipped for theft, burglary, and possession of a bladed article.
