Sons see doubles as they fend off Annan

LEIGHTON MCINTOSH and Ally Roy doubles helped Dumbarton survive a late fightback at Annan to maintain their unbeaten start to the season with a thrilling 4-3 win.

The Sons were two goals to the good at the break, first when McIntosh looped in a header before Roy doubled their lead with a tap-in. Dom Docherty slipped in McIntosh for No.3 with Roy then thumping the fourth.

Max Kilsby headed in for Annan on the hour before Aidan Smith halved the deficit with seven minutes to play. Tommy Muir brought the game to within a goal in stoppage time.
