RUBEN AMORIM insists he was right to kick Marcus Rashford out of Manchester United.

Striker Rashford has been rejuvenated by a move to Aston Villa after Amorim's decision to allow the England international to leave on loan in January.

He also allowed £89million Brazilian winger Antony and Dutch defender Tyrell Malacia to go out on loan.

Amorim has revealed he had the final say on all three departures - and that he believes it was a gamble he had to take for the long-term health of the club.
