Rory to edge a battle royal with Scottie

US TOUR legend Rich Beem reckons Rory Mcllroy is the hot favourite to win this week's US PGA and get halfway to a calendar Grand Slam.

Beem is predicting a “battle royal” with world No.1 Scottie Scheffler in the second Major of the season.

Masters winner Mcllroy will bid to equal Sir Nick Faldos UK record of six Majors as he returns to Quail Hollow, where he has already won four times.
