A fresh start for City this summer after bad season
PEP GUARDIOLA has told his players they are starting afresh at the Club World Cup.
The Manchester City boss wants to leave last season's disappointments in the past.
The Club World Cup has been bolted on to the end of a 2024-25 calendar that saw City endure one of their worst campaigns for years, finishing empty-handed.
Beset by injuries, City surrendered their Premier League crown, lost the FA Cup Final and made an early Champions League exit.
But Guardiola has a clear determination to leave that campaign far behind and try to put themselves back on top of the world - starting now in the USA.
City won the previous incarnation of the Club World Cup - when it was a seven-team event - in Saudi Arabia in 2023.
