St Johnstone as they drew a blank away to Ayr.With Saints drawing 0-0 at home to Raith, the Jags would have moved two points clear with a win at Somerset Park.

But their own clash also ended in a dreary stalemate, leaving Thistle behind Simo Valakari's men on goal difference.

Mark Wilson's men headed to Ayr hoping to burst the net. However, they played out a stalemate as their run of three straight victories came to an end.
