My Linda was winging it as a cook

SIR Paul McCartney has revealed his late wife Linda who created a multi-million-pound food empire was "not a great cook" at first.

Linda McCartney started her own vegetarian food range, which went on to become a global success, after becoming veggie on her Scottish farm.

Linda, who died at 56 in 1998, founded the food firm in 1991 in a bid to create tasty, meat-free meals for families.

But the Beatles legend has now revealed his late wife was no Mary Berry to start with in a new book in which he talks about their life on the remote Argyll peninsula.
