MANDY'S MATES IN PM'S INNER CIRCLE

TWO Scottish MPs promoted by Keir Starmer last week are friends and allies of shamed Peter Mandelson, the Sunday Mail can reveal.

Imogen Walker - the wife of the Prime Minister's under-fire chief of staff Morgan McSweeney - was made an influential Commons whip along with colleague Gregor Poynton.

It has emerged that in June Mandelson - who has been sacked as US ambassador over his relationship with paedophile Jeffrey Epstein - attended a fundraiser for Hamilton and Clyde Valley MP Walker and Livingston MP Poynton.

The revelation raises further questions over Mandelson's close relationships with Starmer's inner circle amid claims McSweeney was behind the failure to axe him earlier.
