Jahmai's arrival puts Hoops defence on alert

LIAM SCALES reckons the arrival of Jahmai Simpson-Pusey to challenge for a spot in the Celtic backline can push him on to a new level.

The Manchester City kid has joined on a season-long loan to battle with established stoppers Scales, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Austin Trusty for a spot.

Simpson-Pusey has played only six senior games but that includes Champions League experience, having been started by Pep Guardiola last season against Sporting Lisbon.

And Scales feels the teenage Etihad prospect can help drive standards even higher.
