HOCKERHACKER But Clark is channelling his passion now

- BY CRAIG SWAN

WYNDHAM CLARK admits his Oakmont shame acted as a major wake-up call.

The American star is adamant he'll never lose his passion, but insists it won't be channelled in rage towards areas like locker rooms any more.

Clark's Saturday 66 rocketed him into Genesis Scottish Open contention and ensured golf fans were talking about him for the right reasons following two incidents this year which left him having to make grovelling apologies.

The 2023 US Open champ said sorry for his vandalism at this year's staging of the tournament after images of smashed up lockers inside the Oakmont clubhouse went public and he was pinpointed as the culprit.
