HAGGAS' RISING STAR LEAVES 'EM THUNDERSTRUCK

MORE THUNDER joined the big league by landing the Hungerford Stakes at Newbury.

William Haggas' colt was a 6/4 jolly to make a Group 2 breakthrough after a number of classy efforts in top handicaps. The four-year-old took a while to get into his stride once again but rapidly moved into contention a furlong out for Tom Marquand.

The colt then showed a blistering turn of foot to power past Witness Stand (13/2) and score by two lengths.
