Danilo knows fans are impatient for Chermiti to produce the goods - he's been there himself – but says striker needs time to prove his true worth

wins over Kilmarnock and Hibs have brought some backing for Rohl since he took over from axed Russell Martin.

And Danilo insists nobody has thrown in the towel at Ibrox.

The former Feyenoord forward said: "Rangers is about titles, right? So we are just confident with everything.

"Right now we've been in a good flow, especially in the league. So we want to keep this moment.

"Sunday is a good opportunity for us, before the international break, to go with a good mentality. Be stronger. We're just going to go there and be ourselves and try to get the three points.

"Rangers is not about giving up on anything. Our confidence is already there. We did some good stuff (in the last two Premiership games). We showed the good stuff.

"The manager has good strategy as well. He's come with new ideas and we're trying to implement them in the field.

"We just have to step up and try to do things the manager demands us to do. We have to also be clinical in the box, try to make goals and be solid in the back.

"The league is a good opportunity for us to show we are a unit as well. We stick together, it doesn’t matter what happens. Sunday is a good opportunity for us to step up and do things better."

Only an injury-time penalty by James Tavernier saved Rangers in a 1-1 draw when Gers met Dundee at Ibrox back in August.

That was one of six draws from their opening 10 league games, with Rangers winning just three times and the Ibrox atmosphere turning toxic at times.

But Danilo reckons it’s early enough to salvage the campaign - and not just domestically.

Gers might need to take a minimum 10 points from their remaining four games in the Europa League to have a chance of making the playoffs.

But when it was suggested that Europe was now gone, Danilo said: “No, definitely not. Obviously it’s not been good, no points. It's a European night so were trying to play a good game.
