Gosden's grey hits back in Irish Guineas

FIELD OF GOLD deservedly tasted Classic glory inthe Tattersalls Irish 2000 Guineas at the Curragh.

Team Gosden's grey was a warm even-money favourite for the big race after his agonising defeat in the UK equivalent at Newmarket.

The colt was ridden slightly more prominently by new pilot Colin Keane and he travelled well throughout the one-mile contest.

The rider went on two out and he got an electric response from his partner who powered home to rout fellow Juddmonte raider Cosmic Year (4/1) by two lengths.
