EMOTIONAL TRIUMPH

JAMES FORREST isn't the type of guy to get emotional.
-
But as the 33-year-old somehow tried to take in his new status as Celtic's most decorated player EVER, he struggled to hold back tears.
The winger secured yet another title against Dundee United at Tannadice yesterday, his 26th trophy for the club.
That saw him surpass the record held by a Lisbon Lion, Bobby Lennox, to stand alone at the top of an illustrious list.
Despite his success, Forrest remains one of the most humble players in the Scottish game.
And that was evident at full-time again on Tayside yesterday.
He's proud of his achievements but is still uncomfortable being mentioned alongside Celtic's all-time legends.
And in the wake of his latest success, Forrest revealed he plans to go and visit Lennox this week.
After the Hoops wrapped up the title with a thumping 5-0 win, he struggled to keep his emotions in check.
And he admits that as Celtic's supporters chanted his name at the end, what he'd achieved began to sink in.
Forrest said: "I've loved it. As I was walking off the pitch, I started getting a bit emotional and having to try and control it.
"But no, it's an unbelievable feeling. It's just great to be part of this team.
"I don't know why I got emotional. In the last few years it has been a successful era for Celtic.
