Craig put his trust in me to be Hearts' teenage hero

HARRY COCHRANE will forever be grateful to Craig Levin for handing him his big breakthrough at Hearts.

The midfielder was a slip of a 16-year-old weighing 10 stone wet through - but the former Tynecastle boss saw enough in him to throw him into the Premiership battle.

And he thrived.

Cochrane became the youngest ever SFA Performance School graduate to debut in the top flight of Scottish football and remains Hearts’ youngest scorer after netting the opener in 4-0 win over Celtic.

That arrived in December 2017 when Cochrane was just 16 years, seven months and 23 days - and he helped end a 69-game unbeaten domestic run for the Hoops.
