Staff at the University of the West of Scotland take industrial action

THE “obscene” pay of fatcat university bosses could be reined in this week by MSPs.

Scottish Greens co-leader Ross Greer wants universities and colleges to limit the earnings of top execs to no more than 10 times the salary of the lowest-paid worker.

It comes after a Sunday Mail investigation revealed the eye-watering pay and expenses, including foreign junkets, of senior staff at some Scots unis, despite multi-million pound deficits and redundancies at many institutions.
