SCOTS have been warned of fraudsters using bogus endorsements from Martin Lewis to lure people into investment scams.

The consumer champion recently dedicated an episode of his popular STV show to advice on putting money into stocks, shares and funds.

And Advice Direct Scotland, which runs the consumeradvice.scot service, has said scammers may seek to capitalise on the move by pretending he has endorsed their dodgy schemes.

Lewis is often impersonated in fake ads, particularly for cryptocurrency and supposedly high-return schemes.
