A QUARTER of small businesses in Scotland have considered shutting up shop, a survey has found - with a quarter citing tax rises and red tape for their woes.
The study, by contactless card payment company SumUp, found many blaming Chancellor Rachel Reeves’ National Insurance rise for employers in last year's Budget, along with Donald Trump's tariffs regime.
