Supersonic boom for economy

OASIS fans are set to deliver a massive boost to the economy by spending more than £1billion during the band’s hotly anticipated reunion gigs.
Across 17 UK concerts, fans attending the tour are predicted to fork out a staggering £1.06billion — with a bumper £426.3million in London alone — to see Liam and Noel reunite on stage, according to a report by Barclays’ Wonderwallets.
The tour is expected to exceed the £997m estimated for Taylor Swift’s Eras tour last summer.
New data from Novuna Personal Finance found that the band’s sold-out, seven-night residency at Wembley Stadium will attract more than 630,000 fans to the capital, with each night forecast to generate £60.9m in spending across travel, hospitality and retail.
