More hotels are being taken over for asylum seekers despite election vow

LABOUR has opened more asylum hotels despite its election pledge to end their use - which costs taxpayers at least £8million a day, Windsor's MP has said.

Jack Rankin has secured a Westminster Hall debate on Tuesday, with its focus on venues reopening as "asylum hotels".
In October the Home Office contacted him to say a hotel in Datchet, a village in his constituency, would reopen to house "up to 85 single adult male" migrants "within the next 24 hours".
