Molly's law to scrap self-harm web sites

VILE online material which encourages self-harm is to be banned under new laws which campaigners say could save lives.
Digital Secretary Michelle Donelan will announce a new criminal offence is to be added to the Online Safety Bill, to prevent further tragedies following the death of 14-year-old Molly Russell.
She said: "I am strengthening our online safety laws to make sure these vile acts are stamped out and the perpetrators face jail." An inquest found Molly took her life in 2017 after depression "and the negative effects of online content", including images, video clips and text encouraging selfharm and suicide.
The coroner ruled she had viewed images that "shouldn't have been available for a child".
