Life in prison for child rapists if Reform wins

CHILD rape will result in a mandatory life sentence if Reform UK wins the next election, the party's head of policy has announced.
Adult predators who rape children "will spend the rest of their life in prison without eligibility for parole", said Zia Yusuf.
His party will also make it impossible for perpetrators to be jailed for as little as 4½ years, he added.
Under the plans, 500 extra offenders would be locked up each year.
An extra 12,400 prison places would be built in "Nightingale prisons" on Ministry of Defence land, while an uptick in deportations would mean even more jail space.
Mr Yusuf claimed criminals were getting away with "ludicrously light sentences for heinous crimes".
