DANIEL FARKE has been praised for retaining the backing of the Leeds dressing room when things got tough this season.

Farke led Leeds to promotion from the Championship last term, but his future was the subject of much speculation over the summer before he kept his job.

The German was then forced to endure more talk around his Elland Road position in November after his side lost six of their past seven matches at the time.

But a 3-2 defeat to Manchester City kicked off an impressive run of results that included beating Chelsea and drawing with Liverpool.

As Farke's side prepare for the final few months of the season, former Leeds star Matthew Kilgallon is impressed by the way he has managed to keep his players on side.

Kilgallon (above) said: “It was just before Man City when people started to talk about whether he has got long left and looking at the fixtures.
