A SEVENTIES slimmers’ favourite has become so popular among health-conscious young people producers are struggling to keep up with demand.
Cottage cheese has been so popularised in TikTok fitness videos that the craze has grown into one of the biggest trends of recent years.
Retail giant Tesco reports sales of the dairy product have rocketed by an unprecedented 200% in the past two years.
Now the rush is on to produce variants of the cheese, made from milk curds, aimed at new buyers.
In the past few months Tesco has worked with one of its key dairy suppliers — Grahams The Family Dairy, in Stirlingshire to launch a cottage cheese with added protein.
