Crowning glory for the royal sisters' secret VE Day party

THE CLOSE but sometimes troubled relationship between the late Queen and her sister Princess Margaret will be put under the spotlight in the final season of The Crown.

Part Two of the final series will be released on Netflix on December 14.

At a screening for the Royal Television Society with Imelda Staunton (the Queen) and Lesley Manville (Princess Margaret), details of one of the six new episodes were released: "The final part of The Crown features a poignant episode depicting the final days of Princess Margaret. With her health on the decline, Margaret finds herself reminiscing, back to her secret night out with her sister during the biggest party in history: VE Day 1945.
