But despite the rather high-brow taste of the Radio 3 trio, readers will be relieved to know that it still wouldn’t be Christmas without Wizzard.
Music legend Noddy Holder may need a stiff glass of mulled wine to recover, though – two of the three shunned Slade’s hit Merry Xmas Everybody.
Proms presenter Katie Derham, 52, said the iconic hit was “probably not my favourite – I think it could have been slightly overplayed in my lifetime”.
Kate, and fellow presenters Georgia Mann and Jess Gillam, chose their favourite Christmas numbers, along with one song that made them shudder each year.
