After a 100 per cent start and no goals conceded on the back of a standout win at Manchester City last week, the Spurs faithful thought they had hit the bullseye with Frank's arrival from Brentford.

But they were given a look at what they could have won as Andoni Iraola, who was hotly tipped to replace Ange Postecoglou, masterminded a dominant display from Bournemouth.

Spurs' new signing from RB Leipzig, Xavi Simons, was introduced to the home crowd prior to kickoff - but the boos came at the end of a first half in which Spurs failed to muster a shot.
