Blaze shuts road through village

THE main road through a village was closed on Saturday after a blaze.
-
Strines Road, which runs through the middle of Strines, near Marple, was been shut due to a fire.
The blaze had broken out next to the Peak Forest Canal.
It involved a ‘storage shed’ Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said.
