Stirling resident Kirsten Mitchell says she wants to bust a myth about hospice care to help others after her mum Eleanor Flynn spent time in Strathcarron Hospice before she died.

Kirsten is speaking out as part of Hospice Care Week (October 6-12). Kirsten's mum Eleanor, who lived in Riverside, was sadly diagnosed with pancreatic cancer when she was 70 and was taken to the hospice for end of life care.

Having never had experience of the hospice, Kirsten had preconceived negative ideas about what was ahead of them as a family.
