Big Birthday Tea gathers vital funds

Over 150 groups, schools and businesses celebrated the Strathcarron Hospice Big Birthday Tea last week with a range of events across Forth Valley, Kilsyth and Cumbernauld.

The fundraiser was held to mark the 44th anniversary of the hospice which opened in April 1981.
People across the area were encouraged to host a get together and donate to Strathcarron, with a range of events and activities taking place.
Strathcarron mascot 'Ron' popped along to say thank you at some of the events enjoying a cake and cuppa along the way.
Charity partner Central FM broadcast live from the hospice throughout the day and featured interviews with staff, patients and family members.
There were also live performances of music in the hospice from local singers Steffan McGechie (Falkirk) from band VH5 and Barry Honeyman (Bridge of Allan).
