Scotland’s Gardens Scheme’s popular programme of Stirlingshire open days is set to begin.

- KAIYA MARJORIBANKS

On Sunday, May 11, Oakmore at Blairhoyle, Port of Menteith (FK8 3LF) is open from 2pm-5pm.

An SGS spokesperson commented: “This 3.5 acre garden was just a field 10 years ago with a small wood and lots of rushes.

“Under the hands of a gardening fanatic and her willing husband the owners have created a wonderful new garden with herbaceous borders, shrubbery, rose garden, bog garden and much more.
