As the next Census draws near, it is essential to emphasize one of the most vital aspects of the process: selfenumeration.

This simple yet powerful tool has the potential to reshape how we understand our population, allocate resources, and make informed decisions for the future. With the advent of technology, individuals now have the ability to participate in the Census process from the comfort of their homes, marking a significant shift from previous decades when door-to-door enumeration was the norm.
Self-enumeration refers to the process where individuals fill out their own Census forms-whether online, by phone, or by mail-without requiring an enumerator to visit them. This method, which was first introduced in the 2020 Census in some regions, offers a more efficient and secure way for everyone to participate. In this upcoming Census, self-enumeration is expected to play a more central role, and for good reason.
