HC grants bail to CE in corruption case

STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: Justice Rajesh Sekhri of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court granted bail to Sumit Khajuria, Konkan Railway Chief Engineer (CE) who was arrested by the CBI in month of February, 2025.

Justice Rajesh Sekhri, after hearing both the sides, observed that there cannot be two opinions to the crystallized position of law that it is a fundamental postulate of criminal jurisprudence that an accused is presumed to be innocent till the guilt is proved.
