The Directorate of Economies & Statisties (DES), Jammu, under the guidance of Director General Economies & Statisties, J&K, Satvir Kour Sudan commemorat-ed the 19th National Statisties Day on Sunday, aligning with the nation-wide observance dedicated to the birth anniversary of Professor Prasanta Chandra Mahalanobis, the pioneer of modern statis-ties in India. The theme for 2025 is "Celebrating 75 Years of National Sample Survey" marking the significant contribu-tion of the National Sample Survey in provid-ing reliable and timely sta-tistical data that supports evidence-based decision-making and governance in India.
