JAMMU: BJP spokesperson Balbir Ram Rattan said that the Central Government's approval of Rs 4,224 crore under Batch-I of the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana-IV (PMGSY-IV) for the construction and upgradation of 316 rural road projects in Jammu & Kashmir is a significant achievement in boosting rural connectivity in the region.

Balbir stated that the aim of these ambitious projects is to connect remote villages through road networks. This allocation is an important step towards strengthening road infrastructure in rural areas, which will provide thousands of villagers with better access to essential services, markets, and opportunities.
