Vandals target speed cameras - just days after being repaired

AVERAGE speed cameras which were replaced a year after being cut down have been vandalised again.

In November last year, an average speed camera along the 20mph Llangyfelach Road in Treboeth, Swansea had to be removed after it was left dismantled.

Police investigated the matter at the time and revealed that a man was arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage but that no further other action could be taken due to a lack of evidence.

Last month, a year after it was brought down, it was finally replaced. But immediately after that it was vandalised again - this time with red paint daubed over camera lenses and sensors.
