Obsessive man made threat to 'snap jaw' of ex

AN OBSESSIVE man repeatedly called and messaged his ex-partner despite being made subject to a restraining order and threatened to "snap her jaw".

He also turned up at her home and said he would go "ballistic" if she did not let him in.

Phillip Ashton, 42, of Swansea, was convicted of stalking his expartner last year and was made subject to a restraining order which prevented him from approaching her and contacting her.

But on October 13, the victim received a phone call from a withheld number and recognised the defendant's voice when he said her name.

A sentencing hearing at Cardiff Crown Court on Friday heard the victim ended the call but she received a further 28 calls from the defendant.
