A MAN has returned home to Neath after a stressful ordeal saw him stranded in Dubai without his diabetes medication amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

- BRYANA FRANCIS Reporter bryana.francis@walesonline.co.uk

Ian Reynolds had been worried he would run out of medication and money before he was able to fly home, but made it onto one of a limited number of flights on Sunday, March 8.After finding out he would be on a flight home and making his way to the airport a fresh drone hit the travel hub, threatening to jeopardise his flight further and saw him shelter in the basement area of the airport. All operations had been suspended after the drone hit on Sunday, but flights later began partially resuming.

After his new flight had been delayed for seven hours, Ian was finally on his way home. Ian, from Cwmgwrach, had originally travelled to Dubai to enjoy a week watching the Dubai Tennis Championships with his friend Michael, from Ireland.
