CAN Bernard Llewellyn cast another spell with a Ffos Las favourite on Sunday?

The Mid Glamorgan trainer is expected to be well represented when the track hosts its final flat meeting of 2025. And again his squadron is likely to be led by Zambezi Magic.

Few horses have developed a liking for Ffos Las more than Zambezi Magic. If he lines up on Sunday it will be his 16th appearance at the track in the last four years.

In that time he has racked up five victories. He has also finished second on three occasions and third once.

He again showed his love for the course at Ffos Las’s last meeting, gliding through the heavy conditions while his rivals got stuck in the mud to coast home unchallenged by almost 10 lengths. It was his fifth run at the course this year.

Zambezi Magic is entered in the opening 10-furlong contest for amateur riders.

It should be noted that Llewellyn has four other runners entered in the race.

Another eye-catching entry comes from the stable of Dermot Weld. The Irish training legend has entered Tilani, one of two horses the Derby and Melbourne Cup-winning maestro could send across for the meeting.
