Empty 'blot' on street being regenerated goes up for sale

AN EMPTY building which has created a blot on a Swansea street's regeneration has gone up for sale for a six-figure sum.

Building 64-65 on The Kingsway in Swansea city centre is being marketed by Cooke & Arkwright for £875,000.

It is the former base of Principality Building Society, which relocated to Swansea's main shopping thoroughfare, Oxford Street, in June.

The empty corner building now stands out on the street, as it is located just a few doors down from 71/72 The Kingsway, a major new multi-million pound office development built on land which once housed a beloved former nightclub which over the years was known as Top Rank, Ritzy and Icon, Time and Envy and finally Oceana.
