Cafe to close 'with heavy heart'

A FAMILY-run cafe nestled in the Swansea valleys has announced its sudden closure, saying costs are “through the roof”.

The Lliw Cafe is based at the Lliw Reservoirs, north of Swansea. The reservoirs offer scenic mountain views and are a designated site of nature conservation.

Cafe Lliw is situated at the Lower Lliw reservoir and offers tourists a cosy respite from their adventures at the reservoirs, which include activities like kayaking, rock-climbing, mountain-biking, raft-building, bushcraft, coasteering, gorge walking and mountain trekking.

However, owners of the cafe, David and Jayne, have now announced with a “heavy heart” that the cafe will close down.

The duo have blamed the “current financial climate” which they said had a “huge impact” on the cafe.
