Cwmbrwla Roundabout in Swansea has been affected by flooding again

(DAN HOPKINS)

Cwmbwrla Roundabout in Swansea was left underwater after heavy rain lashed down on Tuesday night, amidst a yellow weather warning issued by the Met Office.

Once again, cars were left submerged as they tried to get through the water and the surrounding area congested with heavy traffic.

The road was closed and motorists were urged try and find alternative routes.

The situation was compounded by a flurry of flooding incidents elsewhere in the city, including at Heol Las, Pantlassau Road, Ynysymond Road, Christopher Road/Clydach Road junction and Capel Road. Some reported being stuck for hours.

Swansea council brought in pumping equipment to assist with the flow of water, but the roundabout remained closed yesterday.

The roundabout was first flooded on Sunday, September 14, which saw it put out of action for days.

Ribwar Wahab owns Reb's Razors barber shop, along Approach Road, having been in business for the past five years. Tuesday night's flood marks the second time his business has been directly affected.
