TRIPADVISOR has just announced the winners of its annual Travellers’ Choice Awards: Best of the Best Restaurants 2025, honouring the top-rated dining destinations worldwide and two of them are in South Wales.

The awards are based on the quality and quantity of traveller reviews over the past 12 months, with winners representing the top one percent of restaurants listed on the site.

For 2025, there are five Welsh entrants, one in the ‘dating’ category top 10 and four in the ‘pet friendly’ category top 10.

The two South Wales restaurants to make the list included Bistro 8, Park Terrace, Woodfieldside, Oakdale, near Blackwood, which was named in the “pet friendly” category.

The restaurant describes itself as: “Founded In 2014, Bistro 8 is a family-owned bar and restaurant based In Blackwood, serving high quality locally sourced steak, tapas, cocktails and more.”
