Bellamy can't believe Cullen's Wales place is being questioned

CRAIG Bellamy has launched a passionate defence of Wales forward Liam Cullen, insisting he cannot understand why anyone would question the Swansea City man's place in the national side.

- GLEN WILLIAMS Football Writer glen.williams@walesonline.co.uk

Cullen, 26, started Tuesday night's 7-1 World Cup qualifying rout of North Macedonia in Cardiff as he won his 14th cap, but it was Wales' goalscorers - hat-trick hero Harry Wilson, Brennan Johnson, David Brooks and Dan James - who grabbed much of the attention.

Bellamy, however, made a point of highlighting Cullen’s influence, saying his intelligence and work off the ball helped unlock the attacking performance around him.
