Football club unveils ambitious plan for community projects at ground

Plans to transform a football ground in South Tyneside - following a £2million Government funding package - have been submitted.

The plan is aimed at Hebburn Town FC delivering on its Community Hub Project with a range of ambitious redevelopment projects - including the creation of a new FIFA pro-certified artificial pitch, a second training pitch and new floodlights.

The construction of a new South Stand - with modern changing rooms, office facilities, a gym and a club shop, is also planned together with a function room area - complete with conference facilities and classrooms.

A community hub is also being planned with the conversion of an existing building to provide further space for meetings and events.
