Community to come together for Christmas fun run

A popular fun run is returning to South Shields this Christmas period.
The Run Eat Sleep Christmas Fun Run will take place on Sunday, December 7, in South Shields as the event looks to support the Key to Life Foodbank.
Residents are invited to don their most joyful festive outfits, get their trainers on and head to The Dragon (Bents Park Recreation Ground) for a morning packed full of cheer and fundraising for people in need.
The event starts at 9am with registration for those taking place from 8.30am.
The are two routes on offer as part of the Christmas fun run, which include:
A 1km course that is designed for children, families and anyone new to running.
The classic 5km route for more experienced participants.
