ROUND-UP OF LATEST NORTH LINCS APPLICATIONS

- By IVAN MORRIS POXTON Local Democracy Reporter ivan.morrispoxton@reachplc.com

A NEW convenience store is proposed in Brigg.

Buckinghamshire-based The Ramana Global Ltd has applied to change the use of a former car garage to a convenience store. Monument Garage Limited entered voluntary liquidation in December 2024.

Its car dealership facility in Bigby Road has been vacant since.

The planning application estimates the convenience store would result in three jobs, two full-time.

Read on below for more recent planning applications in North Lincolnshire, including illusion panels planned outside 20-21 Visual Arts Centre, Scunthorpe.

BRIGG CONVENIENCE STORE AND BANK APPLICATIONS

A planning document for the proposed Bigby Road convenience store states it is expected to operate from 7am to 10pm.

It is contended by YoSha Design Ltd on behalf of the applicant the store will "not generate excessive traffic, noise or disruption beyond that of the previous use".

Rather, it would produce "a more consistent but lower-intensity level of activity" compared to a car showroom’s fluctuating demand.
