CHARLIE Kirk’s murder reflects “a rising tide of political violence” on both sides of the Atlantic, an expert has warned.

Lord Walney, the British Government’s independent adviser on political violence for four years, said Wednesday’s horror shooting followed “demonisation of opponents in the United States and here”.

The former Labour MP said: “We must take on the idea that it’s OK to abandon decency if the cause matters enough.”
